Director-Oracle Product and Services

General Summary

Is responsible for managing the programmatic aspects of the Oracle ERP business application (including finance, supply chain, human resources/payroll), ensuring its smooth operation. Coordinates among the pillars the strategic direction, continuous optimization and ongoing integration with related third-party applications.

Essential Functions:

  • Matrixed reporting to the Executive Committee working across pillars to coordinate optimization of Oracle through the quarterly releases for the system.
  • Serves in leadership roles as both the director coordinating the business functions of the ERP and as the senior most IT leader over the application platform.
  • Oversees the overall ERP system, ensuring smooth operations, addition of enhancements and optimizations to add value which enhance business outcomes.
  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of all pillar business functions within the ERP and the interdependencies to coordinate impact of changes through releases or optimization for the business areas.
  • Coordinates and aligns the work of all pillar activities to support business operations across WellSpan.
  • Oversees release quarterly management to ensure procedures are predictable and mitigate production impact.
  • Evaluates, determines and articulates resource requirements (financial, technical, and human resource), for quarterly release and optimization and impact of requested business and information system projects for the ERP system.
  • Develops and implements quarterly release plans that include targeted support, coordinates ongoing education, and a clear roadmap for future staffing and enhancements.
  • Coordinates with other boundary third-party applications and related support teams to ensure integration with the ERP application.
  • Strategically influences talent and staffing in a matrixed environment to work across the pillars providing support as the program coordinator.
  • Monitors the need and utilization of internal capacity and necessary third-party support service to achieve the optimal cost-effective staffing to provide system support.
  • Communicates with and influences diverse audiences in a matrix environment.
  • Develops budget(s) for the department/unit/entity and allocates funds within budget(s) to accomplish objectives.

  • Estimated Amount: 20% - Travel onsite as required

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelors Degree Business, Information Systems, Finance, Human Resources, or other applicable degree Required
  • Masters Degree Business Administration, Information Systems, or other applicable degree Preferred

Work Experience:

  • 10+ years Information systems, ERP, or applicable experience Required and
  • 5 years experience in a healthcare setting Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong leadership skills to engender trust and team alignment in a heavily matrixed structure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and handle complex issues that arise in the live environment.
  • Strong understanding of the associated business operations and ability to strategize, prioritize and implement plans for continuous system enhancement and optimization.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills to work with different teams and stakeholders.
  • Effective leadership presence and team building skills to align competing priorities and disparate workflows in a complex organization.
  • Knowledge of applications, project management & coordination of information systems deployed in a healthcare environment.
  • Excellent human relations and oral/written communications skills.
  • Proven managerial skills.
  • Ability to develop and apply relevant management, CQI, LEAN, Six Sigma and health care delivery concepts and strategies.
